How does having children help you realize precisely what you love in life
I have a 3yo daughter. The first year as a father was one of the biggest challenges I had in my life. So difficult to not have time anymore for me and work as I want on my projects.
I had a lot of different projects - I love exploring life and working together with a great variety of people. Before being a father my problem was to prioritize better. During this first year, this problem was replaced by another huger: I had no time for any project. No need to prioritize anymore but felt like in prison…
During this long year of an outstanding life experience, I felt what projects I missed the most: natural move, music with friends, building audio and video content to promote design, designing Notion and second brain templates to support people in managing better their projects and their teams, etc… I knew exactly my priorities!
Today, 3yo - it change my life again. A lot of my personal lifetime is back (less than before being a father) so I can use it to work following these priorities which emerged from frustration.
If you need to prioritize: make a child.
More exactly: use periods of frustration to let arise your priorities.
What do you think about these points? If you are a parent, did you experience something related? Would love to hear you about this suggestion for prioritizing better in life.
See you then!
